The Balanced Soul offers both Hatha and Restorative yoga.
Classses are small and steady paced. Each posture is introduced gradually with time to notice how it feels and make adjustments.
Some classses involve more movement and learning, while others are quiet and supported with loner rests.
Both are intended to help you feel more at ease in your body rather than more accomplished in the pose.
Just arrive and begin where you are at.
Hatha is a slower paced class where we learn the shapes and how to move between them without rushing.
There is time to ask questions, change positions and rest when needed.
We focus on joint mobility, gentle strength, and breathing - not intensity.
You don't need flexibility or prior experience. this class is especially suited to people returning to movement, managing stiffness, or wanting a calmer approach to yoga.
Restorative yoga contains mostly floor based postures supported with blankets, bolsters and blocks and held for several minutes at a time.
The goal isn't stretching but allowing the nervous system to settle.
You can adjust position, shift or come out of the pose whenever needed - stillness is offered but not required.
People often chose this class when they feel mentally tired, wired, or carrying a lot of tention.
Hatha is a slower-paced stretching-focused style of yoga with some basic breathing exercises (pranayama) and meditation. Hatha classes are a good place to work on your alignment, learn relaxation techniques, and become comfortable with doing yoga while building strength and flexibility. Hatha classes provide an opportunity to stretch, unwind and release tension, providing a good counterpoint to both busy lifestyles and cardio workouts.

Restorative Evenings are one-night yoga experiences created around a specific season, need or inner theme.
These evenings are not drop-ins or regular weekly classes. Each one is designed as a complete experience - a quiet space to arrive, rest, reflect, and return to yourself.
Held in a small group setting, each 2-hour evening includes restorative yoga, guided meditation, gentle reflection, and a softly lit, carefully prepared space. Seasonal evening also include tea on arrival and simple seasonal touches in the room.
These offerings are a beautiful option if you are curious about restorative yoga, unable to commit to a full session or are simply needing on quiet evening for yourself.
Offered six times per year, including four seasonal evenings in January, April, July, and October.
Registration for the Fall session will open in August.
Classes begin September 22nd and 23rd.
The first seasonal restorative evening will be offered this October.
Details and registration will be shared closer to fall.
Retreats are longer, slower gatherings that allow space for practice, rest, and reflection.
Longer, quieter days held within a gentle structure. There is guidance
throughout, with space between - nothing rushed, nothing crowded.
We are thoughtfully creating retreat experiences for fall
and the Christmas season. More will be shared.
