Yoga at the balanced soul is offered in small, quiet classes where there is time to move slowly, breathe fully, and begin exactly where you are.
Some classes offer gentle movement, stretching, mobility, balance and strength built through slow, mindful practice. Others are quiet and deeply supported, with longer rests and space for the nervous system to settle.
You do not need to be flexible, experienced or already comfortable with yoga to come to class. Options are offered throughout and there is always room to adjust, rest, or choose what feels right for your body.
Both styles offer a way to move with care, soften what has been held, and feel a little more at home in yourself.
Just arrive as you are.
Yoga classes at the balanced soul are offered in two styles: Slow strength, Stretch & Mobility and Restorative Yoga.
A slow, beginner friendly movement class that blends gentle strength building, stretching, mobility, balance and body awareness.
Strength in this class is built gradually through steady holds, controlled movement, and balance. The pace is mindful and accessible, giving you time to notice your body, move with more awareness and explore both effort and ease.
Previously offered as Beginner Yoga, this class remains welcoming and accessible, with a new name that better reflects its focus on slow movement, stretch, mobility, balance, and gentle strength building.
This class is a good fit for those who want to move more slowly, support flexibility and mobility, ease tension, build gentle strength, and feel more connected to their body.
Restorative yoga is a quiet, deeply restful class using mostly floor based postures supported with blankets, bolsters and blocks.
Postures are held for several minutes at a time, giving the body time to soften, the breath to settle, and the mind a little more room to quiet.
Each shape is arranged with support, so the body has the space to be fully at ease. There is time to settle in, make small adjustments, and let the body feel what it is like to be supported and held.
You are welcome to shift, adjust, or come out of a pose whenever needed. Stillness is offered, but never forced.
This class is a good fit for those who feel mentally tired, wired, overstimulated, tense or in need of a quiet pause in the week.
Choose Slow Strength, Stretch & Mobility if you are looking for slow, mindful movement, stretching, mobility, balance and gentle strength building.
This class may be a good fit if you want to move your body, support flexibility, ease tension and build strength in a calm and accessible way.
Choose Restorative Yoga if you are looking for deep rest, quiet support, stress relief, and a peaceful pause in your week.
This class may be a good fit if you feel tired, tense, overstimulated, mentally busy, or in need of a place to slow down and be supported.
Both classes are beginner friendly, welcoming and offered with options throughout.
If you are unsure which class feels like the best fit, you are welcome to reach out and ask.
Yoga classes are offered as 6-week registered sessions on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Both evenings offer the same two class options, giving students more flexibility if a class needs to be made up during the session.
The Slow Strength, Stretch & Mobility class offers slow, mindful movement through strength, stretch, mobility, balance, and body awareness. The restorative class offers quiet, supported rest.

Seasonal Pause gatherings are single class restorative yoga experiences created around a specific season, need or inner theme.
These offerings are not drop-ins or regular weekly classes. Each one is designed as a complete experience - a quiet space to arrive, rest, reflect, and return to yourself.
Held in a small group setting, each 2-hour offering includes restorative yoga, guided meditation, gentle reflection, and a softly lit, carefully prepared space. Seasonal pauses also include tea on arrival and simple seasonal touches in the room.
Gatherings are held on select Saturday mornings from 10:00am to 12:00pm - a mid-morning pause that allows you time to begin the day slowly, arrive unrushed, and still have space in the rest of your weekend.
These offerings are a beautiful option if you are curious about restorative yoga, unable to commit to a full session or are simply needing a quiet pause for yourself.
Offered six times per year, including four seasonal gatherings in January, April, July, and October.
Registration for the Fall session will open in August.
Classes begin September 23rd and 24th.
The first seasonal pause gathering will be offered this October.
Details and registration will be shared closer to fall.
Retreats are longer, slower gatherings that allow space for practice, rest, and reflection.
Longer, quieter days held within a gentle structure. There is guidance
throughout, with space between - nothing rushed, nothing crowded.
We are thoughtfully creating retreat experiences for the Christmas season and for Spring 2027. More will be shared once details of the events are finalized.
