I came to this work because I was looking for a quieter way to spend my days.
Before coming to this work, I knew what it felt like to move through work and life at a pace that didn't leave much room to breathe. I was drawn to something quieter and more grounded. Something that allowed me to work with people in a way that felt supportive, thoughtful and rooted in care.
This is what the balanced soul has slowly become.
What began with massage therapy has grown into a space for body-based care, gentle movement, restorative practices, seasonal offerings, retreats and reflection. At the heart of it all is the same intention: to offer people a place to pause, feel supported, and come back to themselves.
My work is rooted in the belief that the body often knows more that we give it time to say. Each person arrives with something different, and I try to let the work meet them there - with care, attention, and room for what is present that day.
I don't believe care needs to be rushed or complicated. I believe it can be warm, thoughtful, grounded and responsive to the person in front of me.
The balanced soul continues to grow in a way that feels connected to rest, seasonal rhythm, everyday presence and the quiet ways we return to ourselves - through body-based care, movement, stillness, reflection and small moments of care.
Background
I graduated from Wellington College of Remedial Massage Therapy in 2015 with a diploma in Advanced Remedial Massage. In 2018, I completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training. I am also a certified meditation teacher and a level 2 reiki practitioner.
My learning continues to move toward practices that support rest, body awareness, gentle nervous system care, seasonal living and future body-based offerings that will deepen the work already happening at the balanced soul.
